If this is you, please stop

Are you a web designer? Fully paid professional, enthused hobbyist, or otherwise, if you are designing and/or publishing web sites that are left aligned PLEASE STOP. If you are working on an existing site that is left aligned, PLEASE STOP and take the time to adjust it. If you could start making your sites wider to accommodate for the standard higher screen resolution, that would be an added bonus.
It’s really simple. Really. Watch:
- CSS:
-
body{text-align: center;} -
div#content{text-align: left; width: 900px; margin: 1em auto}Use whatever width you deem necessary, in your unit of choice, ‘auto’ is the key for left/right margin there, make the top/bottom 1em whatever you want. It’s your world
- HTML:
-
<body><div id="content">Insert all your content here</div></body>
There, no you have no excuse. Go out and make it happen.
